  • Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort Tour

    So Much To Explore!

Overview:  Welcome to the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort.  We invite you to enjoy a self-guided exploration of the resort.  Somewhat of a tour and part scavenger hunt, this adventure will lead you to all the “must see” areas offered at the resort.  Grab your sense of adventure, a good pair of walking shoes and join us as we start in the lobby on an interesting adventure throughout the resort!

Atlanta Evergreen Lobby:  Welcome to our lakeside haven located in the heart of Stone Mountain Park. The main lobby is designed to host large arrivals, welcome guests fireside during the cooler months of the year, and offer a view overlooking our outdoor pool and Stone Mountain Lake beyond.  It is the central hub for accessing guest rooms, conference space, three restaurants and our conveniently located bathrooms.  Let’s get oriented…

Stand and face the fireplace in the main lobby.  To your right is a small gift shop for necessities, registration desks to welcome you to the resort, and closest to the windows, you’ll see the main corridor to the guest rooms.  All accommodations for our guests are down this hallway.  With the main floor at level four, and all other floors uniquely stacked below the main floor!

Did you discover what is behind the fireplace?  This favorite location is a central hub for grab and go food, morning coffees, a relaxing overlook of the lake … and our most recent addition…select evenings, it becomes The Hideaway!  An energetic spot for specialty beverages, fun treats and socializing.

Do you see the (somewhat) hidden staircase to the left of the fireplace?  Two flights down and you are transported to some of the best parts of the resort!  Pool access, hiking trails, firepits, The Rocks Bar (seasonal) and outdoor games are all at the bottom of this staircase.  Not to mention – the quaint treasure of The Tavern!  With pool tables, a full bar and comfy booths…this dining area is another gem just waiting to be discovered!

But let’s stay on the main floor as we explore to the left of the main lobby area.  Here you’ll find a few features that enhance our guest experiences.  A computer center complete with printers and guest internet access.  The lobby nook offering overstuffed chairs, a Book Nook with reading materials on loan and often…photoback drops in keeping with the theme of Park festivals or holidays for a souvenir photo!

As you head towards the nook you will find a short hallway on the right that leads to our Waterside Restaurant.  This elegant setting offers breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking Stone Mountain Lake.  With a private dining area, buffet set up, secluded bar and abundant seating, it is a central dining facility for all our guests to enjoy!

If you were to stay to the left, you would proceed down a corridor filled with meeting rooms.  From grand ballrooms to an auditorium theater and smaller executive suites, we offer over 64,000 square feet of meeting space.  There is even 2 levels of conference rooms!  If you walk ahead you will see an escalator that leads to the second floor.  Let’s take the escalator to the second floor and discover what else is hiding around the corner!

At the bottom of the staircase you will see windows overlooking our lakeside vistas.  While the hallway to the right will take you to a special treat!  Continue down this path (quietly please as we may have meetings in session) and you will find the path ends at a set of double doors.  Let’s find out what is outside…please proceed (as long as there aren’t guests hosting an event)!

This huge outdoor space is the site for many corporate dinners, weddings and family reunions.  With beautiful weather, starry night skies and the ability to host meals for up to 500 guests…this is just one of our treasured places to bring people together.  To the right as you face the lake, you will see a ramp…let’s take that walkway and discover what lies beyond!

And just like that you are transported to our beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub facilities.  This setting overlooking the lake, filled with games, firepits and poolside seating is central for fun and memories when staying at the Atlanta Evergreen!  On the right you will notice a covered bar area.  During the summer months bartenders make cool beverages, grill hot bar-be-que foods and enhance our guests experience with culinary delights!

To the lake side area, you would find access to trails that lead on adventures all around Stone Mountain Park.  The ability to depart on a hike from our doorstep is certainly a favorite for many of our guests.

If you head towards the building, you will see doors leading inside.  The set to the right would lead you to The Tavern and up the stairs to the lobby.  While the set to the left leads you towards our indoor pool and fitness facilities.

Feel free to explore and then return to the lobby via elevator (on the left), or the staircase via the doors to the right.  We hope you have had an enjoyable tour of the Atlanta Evergreen.  Should we be able to answer additional questions, please ask a member of our team at the Front Desk.  We thank you for taking time to acquaint yourself with our resort and invite you to join us again soon!

Stone Mountain Park has 7 trails in total; 5 of which are connected with connector trails so you can hike 1 mile or 12+ miles and not repeat over the same trail twice. The two stand-alone trails are the Muscogee Trail, near the main entrance to the park, and the Soungbird Habitat and Trail which is a mile from the Resort after taking a right out of the Resort Entrance. The driving map located at the Resort Front Desk has color coded locations and distances of each trail on the foldout map.
